ROCHESTER JUNIOR BASSMASTERS HOMEPAGE

Thank you for your interest in the Rochester Junior Bassmasters (RJBM). I would like to take this opportunity to describe what the club has to offer.

The RJBM (age 0-15) is a youth fishing club that was formed under our parent club the Rochester Bassmasters (age 16 and over). Both groups are B.A.S.S. recognized clubs. The adult club just celebrated 40 years in 2015 and has been providing youth fishing opportunities for most of those years.

The mission of the RJBM is to provide its members a family oriented club focused on teaching fishing, ethics, sportsmanship, and conservation. We run youth fishing tournaments from shore on local ponds, and from boats on area lakes and bays. We are active in our community with conservation events and community service. In 2015 we fished 4 tournaments, hosted a hotdog lunch for the Greece Police Department, participated in an invasive species weed cleanup on Braddocks Bay, raised funds at a hotdog sale at Bass Pro Shops, and held our year end awards presentation at Club House Fun Center. Our club is sponsored by the adult RBM club and several local companies.

All youth event participants must be members. Membership simply involves providing some basic information and a $10 yearly membership fee. The fee goes directly to B.A.S.S. making the youth a member of B.A.S.S. and the BASS Nation. Both include periodic magazines and access to their national website information.

Additional information and updates can be found on our club Facebook page. Search Rochester Junior Bassmasters and request membership to the private Facebook group. We also have some information on the adult club website www.rochesterbassmasters.com under the Youth tab.

Please feel free to contact me via email, text, or phone for more details.
